The glass roof is shut over the Hudson. Two floors, lights low, and the biggest sound system in Manhattan's nightlife district warming up for nobody.

The roof is open, the lights below it go red, and the whole floor is in costume until 4 AM.

Twelve floors above Chelsea, on top of Dream Downtown. Italian marble, leather banquettes and amber chandeliers burning low over an empty floor.

The terrace lines up the Empire State Building and the Hudson. Friday is our biggest night of the weekend, so this floor fills first.

Chelsea's best-kept secret, checked into The Haunted Hotel. A velvet-tented dance floor, merlot banquettes and disco chandeliers throwing red light.

A room small enough that every costume gets seen. Saturday's first ticket tier is already gone.

Its own room inside Harbor, behind its own door. Glass walls on the Hudson, a stage with the DJ booth on it and VIP on either side.

For Halloween it turns into a graveyard one floor off the street, and DJ Beyond takes the stage Saturday.

Glass walls that retract to open sky, and a disco ball rescued from an old LA nightclub hanging over the room.

Bloom Thursdays trades the petals for skulls. The weekend starts up here.

Beneath the Moxy on the Bowery: concrete walls, scaffolding and an exploded disco ball overhead.

The Lower East Side's underground, buried for Halloween. Saturday is sold out, so Friday and Sunday are yours.

Twenty-two thousand square feet: golf simulators, duckpin bowling, a two-hundred-inch screen and a bar built for a crowd.

The whole floor goes dark, the costumes take over and Fahad is on the decks.
